St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office DARE Fun Day - November 8, 2008
A special DARE fun day was held at the local Walmart store in Ft. Pierce, Florida. The Multi Agency Command Post bus was set up for child fingerprinting and a table under a canopy was set up with D.A.R.E. giveaway items. They fingerprinted about 60 kids and gave away a bunch of D.A.R.E. stuff with the main idea being to get the "D.A.R.E." name out to the public. Corporal Terry Allen from Lake County Sheriff's Office even drove his D.A.R.E. Truck all the way from Lake County to St. Lucie County for the event! It was a great D.A.R.E. Day!

October 6-17, 2008 - D.A.R.E. Officer Training Class Graduates!
The Florida D.A.R.E. Training Center in conjunction with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement held a D.A.R.E. Officer Training course at the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy in Havana, Florida, just outside of Tallahassee. 24 new DARE Officers and 4 recertified DARE officers attended the training. Sergeant Rob Hogan, Lee County Sheriff's Office - Rob's DARE Dodge Viper won the overall Best of Show and First Place in its class this summer at the 2008 DARE International Training Conference in San Antonio, Texas! What an awesome looking car! Congrats Rob!
